Copyright and DMCA policy

Last updated: 2026-10-15

1. Our approach

We respond to copyright notices that comply with 17 U.S.C. 512 (the DMCA) and equivalent laws.

2. How to send a notice

Use the contact page and choose the topic "Copyright notice".

3. What a notice must include

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work you say is infringed.
  • Identification of the material on our site and its URL.
  • Your contact information.
  • A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent or the law.
  • A statement that the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.

4. Counter-notification

If we remove material you supplied and you believe it was a mistake, send a counter-notification through the same topic with: your signature; identification of the removed material and where it appeared; a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe it was removed by mistake or misidentification; your name, address and phone number; and your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, outside the United States, any judicial district where we may be found), and that you will accept service from the complainant.

We may restore the material after 10 to 14 business days unless the complainant tells us it has filed a court action.

5. Misrepresentation

Under 17 U.S.C. 512(f), anyone who knowingly misrepresents that material is infringing, or was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages.

6. Repeat infringers

The site has no user uploads. Where material is contributed to us, we stop accepting material from anyone who repeatedly infringes.

7. Forwarding

We may forward a notice, including the sender's details, to the person who supplied the material.
